Denmark Superligaen European Football League

Superligaen professional football league founded in 1991 is organized by the Danish Football Federation which determines champion of Denmark .

Superligaen is first football league on Denmark championship in value and aligns on start competition a total of 12 professional football clubs.

Denmark professional football league has grown over the last five years, benefiting from construction of more modern stadiums that increased the number of spectators and the Superligaen league has made progress in European competition for clubs from number 23 to number 12.

Most famous football clubs compete in the Superligaen : FC Copenhagen, AaB Aalborg and OB Odense.

Last two football clubs in the Superliga standings on the end of championship are relegated on Danish 1st Division second league while the top four ranked share their places to participate in European Cups as follows:

• I-II sites play in the qualifying round for the Champions League accession
• Places II-III play in Europa League rounds qualifying matches
